Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Hipsvitalelbow.world uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. We comply with the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet (rules on storing and accessing information on your device), the GDPR, the UAVG, and guidance from the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP) and the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM) on transparent cookie consent.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, or phone when you visit a website. We also use local storage (e.g. to remember your cookie choices). Pixels, tags, and SDKs may be used if analytics or marketing tools are enabled in the future. In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.
3. Legal framework in the Netherlands
Under the Telecommunicatiewet (implementing EU ePrivacy rules), we must:
- Inform you clearly about which cookies we use and why;
- Obtain prior consent before placing non-essential cookies or reading comparable data from your device;
- Make refusing cookies as easy as accepting them (e.g. “Reject” alongside “Accept all”);
- Allow you to withdraw consent at any time.
Where cookie data constitutes personal data, the GDPR and UAVG also apply (see our Privacy Policy).
4. Categories and legal bases
- Strictly necessary: Security, availability, and storing your cookie preference. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and compliance with Telecommunicatiewet obligations. These cannot be switched off in our banner.
- Analytics: Optional statistics on how visitors use the site. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Not activated until you choose “Accept all” or enable Analytics in settings.
- Marketing: Optional measurement of campaigns or remarketing. Legal basis: consent. Not activated until you opt in.
Rejecting optional cookies does not block access to the website.
5. Cookie and storage overview
| Name / type | Category | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
tdde_cookie_consent (local storage) |
Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choices (necessary / analytics / marketing) and timestamp | Up to 12 months, then banner shown again | First party (this site) |
| Session / security cookies | Strictly necessary | Hosting security, load balancing (if set by host) | Session or short-term | Hosting provider |
| Google Maps cookies | Third party (functional / may track) | Map display on contact page when you load the embed | Varies — see Google policy | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC |
| Analytics cookies | Analytics (optional) | Visitor statistics—only if you consent | Typically 6–13 months (provider-dependent) | To be listed when activated |
| Marketing cookies | Marketing (optional) | Campaign measurement—only if you consent | Provider-dependent | To be listed when activated |
At present, analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded unless you consent; the banner records your choice locally. If we enable third-party tools, this table will be updated before they go live.
6. Third-party services
Google Maps (contact page): Loading the map may set cookies or process data outside our direct control. See Google’s cookie information. You can avoid this by not opening the contact page or blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Google Fonts / Material Icons (loaded from Google servers): May involve connection data (IP address). We use them for typography and icons; you may block them via browser settings or extensions, though layout may change.
7. Managing and withdrawing consent
On your first visit—and until you save a choice—a banner offers:
- Accept all — enables analytics and marketing categories.
- Reject — only strictly necessary storage and cookies.
- Cookie settings — granular toggles; necessary cookies remain on.
You can change your mind anytime by clearing site data in your browser or contacting us at reach@hipsvitalelbow.world. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You may also use browser controls: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge allow blocking or deleting cookies. See Consumentenbond guidance (Dutch) for general consumer tips.
8. Retention
- Consent records in local storage: maximum 12 months.
- Session cookies: expire when you close the browser.
- Third-party retention: governed by their policies when those services are active and consented to.
9. Your rights and complaints
Data collected via cookies may constitute personal data. You have rights of access, erasure, objection, restriction, portability (where applicable), and withdrawal of consent as described in our Privacy Policy.
Complaints may be submitted to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens:
Bezuidenhoutseweg 30, 2594 AV Den Haag, Netherlands

10. Changes
We update this Cookie Policy when our technologies or legal obligations change. Check the “Last updated” date above after material updates.
